I was in K-Mart today on Donelson Pike, and they have a ton of deals. When you walk in there are a couple of clearance carts full of school supplies and hair care products like L'Oreal Vive line and Pantene (you may still have some coupons for these products, making the final cost around $0.50) Also the clothing that is on clearance is an additional 40% off. I bought my son a couple of long sleeve white button down oxfords for his fall school uniforms in Nashville Metro schools. They ended up being $3.00 a piece. That is better prices than some thrift stores charge for used goods.
There are several cute backpacks on sale for $6, from the Athletetech brand, they are regularly $12.99. There is 25% off the other backpacks, excluding those sold in sporting goods. I didn't see any really great deals on school supplies. Most stores offered these in the past 2-3 weeks, and for the late shoppers, looks like we're stuck paying full price. Luckily, I had bought a lot of things at Walgreen's for $0.09 and stocked up on some staples, but I certainly didn't get all I needed. One day, one day, I am going to organized and prepared!!!
