Nashville is such a beautiful city, and with so much to do.

I was helping my husband today at work, which involved a lot of driving around. I served as a shuttle service to customers who did not want to wait around, and parts tracker, since UPS keeps getting our zip code wrong and we have to chase down our packages. At first, I was a little ill because, it has been a really crazy week with school starting and all. I had my day planned to catch up my last 2 loads of laundry and cleaning. My most important chore of the day however, was to take a long, much needed nap.

When business is there, and it was today, you have to forego the naps. You may have to drag your 2 year old everywhere you go, without her having a nap either. Trust me, this is much worse than me not having a nap!!! Regardless, I really got to travel this city today, and sometimes I forget how beautiful it is, and how much there is to do here. While driving a customer to the Airport area, I was telling him what you can do cheaply here in Nashville (especially since, poor fellow, didn't intend on his motor locking up on him as he was traveling from South Dakota to South Carolina). One thing I realized by the time the day was over, is you really don't have to do anything to enjoy this town.

There are beautiful hills spread out to enjoy God's handiwork, and great old buildings and ugly ones too, to enjoy or wonder about while on your way. I especially enjoyed traveling up North First Avenue in downtown alongside the Cumberland River, the old mixed with the new. I noticed the Music City Star picking up passangers ready to head home, and I wondered what a beautiful ride that might be as well for a reasonable price. I'll have to take that ride on a less busy day.

I happen to agree with you on this....so much so that when we were out there in early June we decided that the Nashville area would be our new home as soon as we sell our house(keep your fingers crossed that it's within the next couple of months). We looked at houses in Hermitage while we were there. Not only the city is beautiful though, we fell in love with the people too. In the NJ and the whole NYC area the people are so cold and down right mean. We can't wait to get out.

Good luck to you, your family and your Husband and his business.

I'm so glad you found my blog, I really didn't think anyone but my mom read it. I live in Hermitage now, I've been in the Nashville area since 1998, I've been all over the city in this time. I love Hermitage because you are close to everything, especially the lake, yay! I hope your transition goes well!
